Sixt South Dublin is truly the most hassle free experience! I’ve rented in Italy and France with extra charges but what sets Sixt Ireland apart is that they are franchised and operating in the natural ease you experience in Ireland. Honest, up front, worry free and accommodating. I opted to purchase the full insurance as I had never driven right hand drive and an automatic just to reduce the distraction of shifting while navigating country roads and the mountains. I also opted to extend the rental and do a one way and drove myself to the airport with a smooth drop off. They kept a low security deposit for tolls on the M50 and explained any deductions before I left the counter so I knew what to expect and they provided plenty of helpful tips for traveling in Ireland. I had stayed in Dublin City center and opted to take a taxi to this south Dublin location so that I could get a feel for driving without the craze of city driving- highly recommend. The staff were very friendly and helpful and an absolute pleasure to chat with. Their easy reassuring nature and warm smiles eased my nerves about driving immediately. The car was a compact suv which was perfect for our group of 5, it was sporty enough to handle the Wicklow mountain roads and compact enough to drive narrow streets in Kilkenny. The interior was spacious as we had 2 passengers over 6ft tall. Perfect.

Very good car, service and price. I was delighted with our rental car, the service online when l had questions, the friendly people at Cork airport, during my 14 day rental period with sixt car hire service. Good new vehicle and excellent service. Will surely hire again next year!
Excellent experience from beginning to end! Quick pick-up process. All the staff that I dealt with were very helpful and pleasant. Special mention goes to Andrei who helped with a company invoice. There is an optional extra insurance fee of €40 for taking the car to Northern Ireland, but I did not avail of it. Also, optional extras for enhanced damage protection etc, but I declined these too. The return process was also quick and easy. Take a ticket to enter the car park, but no need to pay for parking. Excellent location in the heart of Dublin. The car itself was clean and well equipped with features such as a reversing camera. There was some minor damage that had already been recorded. I was a bit nervous about extra damage, so I photographed the car at the beginning and end, but thankfully everything was OK, and the pictures did not need to be used. Highly recommended!
