Very disappointing experience its all about money We visited The Banana Experience in Tenerife with our 20 month old daughter and it was a complete waste of time. First of all parking was a nightmare. The so called parking area is an unpaved dirty lot with barely any space. After struggling to park we had to walk along a dangerous road where cars were driving very fast which is not safe at all especially with a small child. Only after all this trouble once we finally reached the entrance we were told it was full. There was no sign at the parking area or along the way to warn visitors beforehand. What made it even more frustrating is that it was obviously very quiet and we were the only people standing at the entrance. We politely asked if we could at least take a short look inside the plantation with our toddler but this was refused. The woman at the entrance was rude and unhelpful and told us to just take a photo from the entrance instead. That is not an experience and certainly not worth the effort. So we had to walk back along the same dangerous road to the rundown parking area for absolutely nothing. Poor organization bad communication and very unfriendly staff. Definitely not recommended especially if you are visiting with children.
The tour through the plantain fields was great — super interesting and really well organized. The guide was friendly and knew so much. We learned, tasted, and laughed the whole time. An awesome experience from start to finish!
Joined the guided tour, learned a lot about banana plantation. Kids love the tasting sessions, they provide fresh banana, jams, sources and banana wine. If you didn’t join guided tour, you can still read the information by yourself but the guide will show you lots of stuff, highly recommend to join a tour. They provide free parking.
