Excursión de un día en La Palma: Paisaje volcánico

Embark on an unforgettable six-hour day trip from Santa Cruz de La Palma to witness the island's powerful volcanic heart. Your journey begins at the Mirador de la Concepción, perched atop the La Caldereta volcano, offering breathtaking views of the crater and the island's capital. From there, we travel through the remarkable Time Tunnel, where you can observe the dramatic shifts in La Palma's lush vegetation as we head towards the southwest. This scenic drive prepares you for the main event: exploring the landscapes forever changed by the recent eruption of the Cumbre Vieja volcano, now known as Tajogaite. Our exploration takes you directly into the affected region. You will get your first powerful view of the volcano from the exclusion zone of the Tacande neighborhood. We then continue to the coastal town of Tazacorte to see the youngest lava flows in all of Spain, a testament to the island's ongoing creation. After a stop for a meal at a typical restaurant near the beach, we will view one of the neighborhoods impacted by the eruption. The day culminates at the Tajuya Viewpoint, a safe vantage point just two kilometers away, providing a stunning panoramic perspective of the newest volcano in the Canary Islands before we return to Santa Cruz de La Palma.
