If I could give 0 stars I would. Worst management for 1/4” of snow I’ve ever seen. Absolutely zero preparation, staffing, or adequate implementation of services. No flight leaves on time because of a single de icing truck for 20 different concourses. Then the continuous leading and lying while your contractor is broken down not working. your next, your next. Meanwhile the airline is divulging the disgusting practices of the airport only employing a single contractor. They don’t even employ or maintain their own equipment to handle the weather at their own airport. Highly recommend staying away from Richmond airport, their small size is a direct reflection of the small ability and low level of management practices to ensure smooth operation. The not my problem practices has cost countless individuals time and money. The single truck provider contracted by the airport for the entire airport had issues and ran out of fluid. Way to think ahead. Go to dulles, don’t contribute to this clearly underperform facility and waste your time or money.

What a great airport! I flew out on a Sunday afternoon and it was so quiet and easy to navigate. The airport is well designed, and I waited zero minutes for TSA PreCheck. The Delta staff were super friendly and welcoming. There are plenty of restrooms, food, and beverage options, plus the WiFi is lightning fast. The rental car facility is connected directly to the terminal, making the whole process easy breezy. Looking forward to flying through Richmond again soon! Pro tip: If you have TSA PreCheck, this airport is a dream—no lines at all. And renting a car here is seamless since the facility is attached to the terminal.
