The Scenic Snowmobile Tour at Heeney offers a slow paced adventure up the mountain with breathtaking views over Rocky Mountain National Park and the Continental Divide. On clear days, guests can see more than forty miles and spot mountains over seventy miles away. The tour begins with a safety talk and instruction on operating the snowmobile. Participants then follow the trail up the mountain with stops for photos and a visit to the Cocoa Cabin to enjoy hot chocolate while overlooking the Eagles Nest Wilderness. Guests can choose to open the throttle on a three quarter mile track or let children ride the kiddie snowmobiles. This guided experience lasts approximately two hours and is suitable for beginners and families while allowing more experienced riders to enjoy the scenic route and optional high speed sections.
The tour includes a guided snowmobile ride with safety instruction, photo stops, hot chocolate, and optional high speed or kiddie rides. Pricing starts from two hundred twenty dollars for a single snowmobile, three hundred ten dollars for a double, and six hundred dollars for a three seater with a six hundred pound maximum. Guests must arrive thirty to forty five minutes early to check in and complete paperwork. Participants should bring warm clothing, boots, gloves, scarves, goggles or sunglasses, a valid driver’s license for drivers, and photo ID for passengers. Children and minors must be accompanied by a legal guardian and follow safety instructions throughout the tour.
