Don't recomend AT ALL. - Dinner, if youbgate late you will get scrape from the earlier guests. No replace on food. - Room, bad as wind come directly to bed. - Staff, careless or nothing about you. Ther purpose is to get much money as possible without any effort. Suggestion there are other options to stay, like Vanhá. Perfect feasible to go to ilheu Rolas.
You will probably not find better in the area but there is a catch. Online the price was 87 euros, but I could not book online. On arrival the price was 135 euro. I asked if dinner is then included and they said NO. After enquiring the next morning about the price discrepancy, they said that the 135 euros included dinner but at dinner the previous night we had to pay for dinner. Later it was fixed but they take chances. They offer buffet dinners when they have high occupancy for 20 euros. The first 30% of guests get food and the rest have to eat what is left. There was one fish for many people and some guests ended up with almost nothing to eat but paid 20 euros. They do not replenish the dishes like with any other buffet. It's like in a hostel they ring a bell when you are allowed to take food then everyone storms the table grabbing food since most know if you do not grab you do not get. The ala carte portions are expensive and very small. You do not have ANY options of groceries stores or alternative eating venues in the area. It was a very bad situation. Breakfast is also about grabbing and one omelet gets shared between 10 people in 1 cm blocks and they take so long to replenish the food that most people leave without. The same with the small pieces of cheese and ham. Every morning there is OLD bread, and they bake a few fresh rolls which gets grabbed and it take up to 1 hour to be replaced by another few fresh rolls if you are lucky enough that they replace it. If you like losing weight and pay a lot for very little this is your opportunity! We stayed 4 nights, and the rooms where not serviced most days. Linnen and towels where not changed neither has the floors been cleaned. Toilet paper does not even get replenished. By far the worst experience in our 3 weeks trip to Sao Tome. The location is lovely, but you get quite a few lovely located placed to stay in Sao Tome. The kitchen staff ignore you if you ask them to put your water bottle in the freezer. Staff is completely disinterested in the guests.
It could be a unforgettable place. The location is simply beautiful. But it's run down. The door to the bathroom didn't close, during all the three days of our stay we didn't have warm water. The dinner is a buffet which means that if you come 10 minutes late a lot of the plates already are empty and get refilled only in part.... The service in general isn't very friendly.
