This open water swimming experience takes place along the beautiful and secluded Praia da Baleeira, a small pebble beach hidden between the steep cliffs of Cabo Espichel. The beach is protected by Forte S. Domingos da Baralha and has a history as a shelter for fishermen, with traces of their activity still visible today. Swimmers will enjoy exploring secret passages and natural crevices along the coastline while observing dense forests of seaweed that serve as a refuge for many marine species. Occasionally, you may encounter shoals of bream and salemas, adding a lively touch to the adventure. The tour begins at Marina de Sesimbra, from where participants depart by boat to Praia da Baleeira and start the swim near Ponta da Passagem, passing under the famous crevice and crossing the impressive Arco da Pombeira, a highlight of the journey.
The tour concludes at Chã dos Navegantes, offering stunning views of the entire Sesimbra coastline. A support boat accompanies swimmers throughout the route, ensuring safety and assistance. After the swim, participants return to Sesimbra village and enjoy a delicious lunch at a traditional Portuguese tavern. Outstanding adventure! We saw dozens of dolphins and enjoyed the wonderful and professional guidance of Pedro. We traveled with our 2-year-old son, and we were concerened how he would react. It’s a great company!! We did the ‘dolphin tour’, and it was amazing. We saw many, many dolphins, two whales, and two swordfish. Rosa and the shipper were really nice. I would really recommend this tour!

Yesterday had an amazing day with Pedro from Bolhas tours! They are already very communicative before the tour has even started. Which i loved. Even sent a sweet reminder. Great work you guys! Then the day itself, out on a nice fast boat to find dolphins! And dolphins we found. What an amazing and humbling experience. They do everything to find schools of dolphins without bothering them in their natural habitat - which i really appreciated. Bc dolphin tourism is not always respectful unfortunately (end captivity & do not swim with dolphins please). We ended the morning with a swim in the sea and a nice sip of Portuguese wine. Loved it and def worth the price!

Spectacular, I recommend the tour, a 100% service. Tiago and Henrique were helpful, friendly and professional. The dolphins were beautiful and loving 😀, the tour includes a visit to the caves, a swim at the “secret beach” and a toast with Moscatel 🥂. Thank you Bolhas, Pumba loved it too 🐶.

My husband and I had a great experience with Bolhas Tours. We saw dozens of dolphins and a WHALE!!! The staff is super friendly and helpful, especially Rosa who shared with us so many interesting facts about the Portuguese marine life. It's a must to do this tour when in Sesimbra!!!! (Make sure you bring a warm jacket and maybe a benie to protect your ears, even in the peak of the summer, because the boat goes reallyyyyy fast and off shore it's really COLD)! Appart from that, everything is perfect! You will finish the tour with a small glass of moscatel =)
