Trollcruise Oslofjord Sightseeing — A Perfect Way to See Oslo From the Water We joined the Trollcruise Oslofjord sightseeing tour on a Tuesday afternoon, and it turned out to be one of the highlights of our time in Oslo. Cruising the fjord gives you a completely different perspective on the city — the skyline, historic landmarks, and natural surroundings unfold beautifully from the water. We lucked out with the weather, too. The skies were clear, the sun was shining, and the water sparkled, making the views absolutely incredible. The boat itself was comfortable, with both indoor seating and an open deck area that’s perfect for photos and fresh air. There was a light narration throughout the tour that gave just enough context about what we were seeing without feeling overwhelming. It felt relaxed and well-paced, making it easy to just sit back and enjoy the scenery. The Oslofjord is surprisingly expansive, with little islands, sailing boats, and clusters of summer homes dotting the shoreline. It’s scenic in a very understated, Nordic way — peaceful, crisp, and strikingly beautiful. If you can, try to time your cruise for a sunny day like we did. The difference in visibility and atmosphere is huge, and it really elevates the whole experience. This is an easy recommendation for anyone visiting Oslo who wants a relaxing but memorable way to see the city.
