Pattern Drawing Workshop series 1.0 (Amsterdam West)

This advanced pattern-making workshop is designed for aspiring designers who want to bring their own creations to life or struggle with off-the-rack sizing. Over the course, participants will learn to draft basic pattern blocks tailored to their individual measurements and work on prototypes to achieve a perfectly fitted garment. The course emphasizes turning these foundational blocks into wearable designs, empowering students to create custom pieces with confidence. It is ideal for those with some prior sewing experience who are ready to expand their skills and explore personal design possibilities.

Throughout the workshop, students will complete several basic pattern blocks and learn techniques for adjusting patterns to create a variety of designs. Professional guidance ensures you gain practical knowledge on pattern construction and garment fitting. Materials are not included, so participants should bring their own fabric and tools. Attendance is important to maximize learning, with the opportunity to make up one missed session at the Sewing Café. Language of instruction is English, and participants must know how to use a sewing machine to join.
