It is recommended that participants have completed at least one dive within the past twelve months. If you have not dived in the last year, a refresh session is advised to ensure you are comfortable and confident in the water. The course is structured over three days, with a combination of morning theory sessions and afternoon practical training. Each day builds on the previous one, providing a comprehensive approach to learning rescue and first aid techniques for divers.
The course includes a detailed theoretical component covering first aid, rescue techniques, and essential safety practices for assisting other divers. Practical training consists of four scenario based dives where participants practice handling a panicked diver, assisting tired or distressed divers, conducting underwater and surface rescues, and performing searches for lost divers. These immersive exercises allow participants to apply the skills learned in a controlled and supervised environment, ensuring both confidence and competence in real life rescue situations.
