For our 3-day trip, we recommend booking John Coull for the first night and then either Tieke or the Bridge to Nowhere Lodge/Campsite for the second night. These campsites offer the best flow and pacing for the journey, giving you a smooth and enjoyable experience on the river. If any of these options are unavailable, feel free to give us a call or send an email before choosing alternative campsites, and we’ll help you find the best arrangement.
This 3-day paddle is a wonderful way to explore the beauty of Whanganui National Park while spending quality time with friends and family. The trip covers a good distance each day, with a fair amount of paddling required, so it’s important that everyone in your group has a reasonable level of fitness. With the right preparation, this adventure provides an unforgettable balance of nature, challenge, and connection.
