Visitors can discover the joy of crafting through a Beginners’ Crafting Course at the Craft Café, designed to introduce a variety of creative techniques in a relaxed and supportive environment. The course allows participants to explore knitting, crocheting, embroidery, and macramé while creating or upcycling unique handmade items.
Learners can begin with any technique they prefer and progress through others at their own pace, making the course suitable for complete beginners as well as those looking to refresh existing skills. Professional crafters provide guidance in both Dutch and English, ensuring personalized support throughout the creative journey.
The flexible class structure allows participants to schedule lessons according to their availability, with the option to attend more than one session per week if desired. Each lesson focuses on creating a different item, such as scarves, beanies, bags, or decorative embroidery, while learning the core techniques of each craft.
The course is currently held at the Craft Café location in Amsterdam De Pijp, with all workshops and lessons moving to the Amsterdam West studio from January. Materials can be included or brought by participants, and while the course aims to complete two projects, learners are welcome to continue their creations in regular crafting lessons, all within a welcoming and inspiring environment.
