We had such a great time with Jaraventura! We did the Rafting and the Canyoning tours. The equipment was new and reliable and we felt very safe throughout the whole tour. The staff is professional and friendly, especially our tourguide Francis is such a funny guy and he entertained us all the way! 10/10 would recommend!
We had an incredible time water rafting! Our guide was the best — super fun, energetic, and made the whole experience unforgettable. The adventure lasted about 3 hours and was filled with great surprises, from picking fresh mangoes along the way to stopping mid-ride for a quick snack, and ending it all with a refreshing cold drink. It was the perfect mix of thrill and fun. We’d absolutely love to do it again!
Well run white water rafting outfitters. Had rafted in Jarabacoa for like 30 years, Jaraventura is an evolutionary improvement from the original operators, equipment and guides are very good and conducted with safety. Highly recommended!
50 Euros is too expensive for this 1h15min rafting. I waited 45min for them to start, because they waited for other clients to show up. The raft we clients used was very patched up, while the guides with camera used a very new raft. They gave basic explanations before we started but didn't tell us what to do when we fall out - which happened to me. No lunch included, as is common with most activities in DR. At least they had a water cooler with PAPER cups. Good toilets & shower with changing cabins. Sadly also plastic where we ended (plus along the river) & they don't collect anything. If they want to be a role model, they should try to collect all the plastic.
Our guide was extremely capable and we felt safe the whole time, while getting a wonderful thrill. You definitely have to pay attention to directions and hold on/lean in at times, to not fall out. From “ the School of Hard Knocks”, I advise discussing with the person opposite you, who will lean forward and in, and who back and in, to not hit heads! Must pay in cash and make sure you bring enough to leave a good tip for the crew. There’s a safety boat that accompanies your boat, in case anyone does fall out.
