September 2025 If you’re looking for a campsite, this is not the place to go. It more like pitching a tent on a random patch of grass that is very lopsided. There’s no shower and one toilet for the entire place. Make sure to bring your own drinking water since there is none. Supposedly there is filtered water, but don’t bother asking for it, the owner gave us water where we could see the particles floating in it. If I want to go wildcamping, then I’ll just camp in a wood and not pay 30€ for it. The views are nice though.
We absolutely loved our stay at the campsite. Unfortunately could only stay for two nights but we will definitely be back. There is clearly so much love and effort put into the campsite and we were welcomed with open arms. Next time back over in Ireland we’ll come over again for a visit :) the surrounding area is lovely for nature lovers and there is a lot to see and do. The campsite is well kept with awesome views, clean facilities and a really accommodating owner and staff. Best wishes and hopefully we’ll see again soon!
A camper's gem in the south of Ireland, fantastic views, good cover from wind on most of the sites, beautiful scenery, the staff are super friendly and accommodating and the site overall great vibe! Has sites for all forms of camping building slowly up the hill. If you do enjoy a hike, climb up into the mountain and you'll be rewarded with the gorgeous namesake of the site: Crotty's lake. A secluded and unique site that serves as the main attraction of the area. In terms of amenities, the beaches and towns are only a short drive away, and there is a lot to do in the area! I've only camped a handful of times but this was a perfect experience for me. I will say there is a lot of bugs in the area so don't forget the bug spray, but don't let that dissuade you from the site! There has clearly been a lot of effort put into preserving the natural beauty while still accommodating for the needs of the guests. There is so much more I could go into but instead I'll say just go visit it and experience it for yourself I can't recommend it enough~ 10/10
