A Gothic treasure in the heart of Lleida with a touch of nature The Church of Sant Llorenç is an architectural gem that never ceases to impress me. Its imposing Gothic façade from the 13th-14th centuries stands out majestically in the old quarter of the city. What makes this church even more special are the storks that have made its bell tower their home - it is a unique spectacle to see them rest on the architectural elements as the sun sets. The interior retains an atmosphere of recollection with its ribbed vaults and Baroque altarpieces. I love how natural light enters through the stained glass windows creating a magical atmosphere. The combination of art, history and nature (with the storks) makes this place a must-see in Lleida. Recommendation: visit at sunset to enjoy the view of the storks in the golden light of the setting sun. It is perfect for lovers of photography and medieval architecture. Accessible and well-preserved place. A true heritage of Lleida that must be preserved!
Fantastic place with lot's of history. If it is in the dark, just put a 50 cents coin in a machine and you'll see it in all it's splendor!
Closed when it's supposed to be open. Tried at different times morning and afternoon, 2 different days. Apparently it's open only for mass, although the website says otherwise.
