There is a very nice place to have been touched to the Maya culture and religion. Culture center and famous Maya place in the world. But lots of shopping places and annoy sales bother you everywhere. That drops down your feelings and excitement.

Chichén Itzá is a well-maintained archaeological site and a must-visit for history enthusiasts. I highly recommend booking an English-guided tour to fully appreciate its rich heritage and fascinating stories about the Mayan civilization. Around the main structure, you’ll find several vendors selling souvenirs—perfect for picking up keepsakes—and restaurants near the entrance for a quick meal. The walk to the site can be uneven, so some improvements could be made. I visited at the end of November, and it was moderately crowded, with about 4–5 ancient structures to explore. The area is a large, open field with minimal shade, so it can get quite warm during midday. Carry plenty of drinking water, as there are no refill stations. To save time, purchase tickets from your tour guide on the bus instead of waiting in line. Be aware that some sellers can be a bit pushy, though sellers at the entrance seemed cheaper than those inside. I didn’t use the washroom, so I can’t comment on hygiene. Highly recommended for people who love history and want to learn about Mayan culture. You cannot go close to the main temple, but you can get quite close to other structures, which makes for great photo opportunities. Overall, this UNESCO World Heritage Site is worth every minute of your visit!

Chichen Itza was an absolute experience, very historic site and a lot to understand about the Mayan’s and the architecture. Every structure had a story to tell. One of the seven wonders of the world and our first one. Highly recommend to have someone with you to explain through the structures. Highly recommend seeing this wonder. Lot of vendors selling souvenirs as well.

It’s hard to put into words how beautiful it is here. The grounds are well taken care of and very clean. Chichén Itzá is a must visit if you are anywhere near the area. There are many friendly vendors in the park that have tons of different souvenirs. There are also a lot of good restaurants near by the park.

An awe-inspiring wonder of the world and a must-visit when in Mexico. Chichén Itzá offers a fascinating glimpse into Mayan history and architecture, with the iconic El Castillo pyramid standing as its centerpiece. The site is well-preserved and full of detailed carvings, ancient ball courts, and sacred cenotes that tell incredible stories of the past. It’s best to arrive early to avoid crowds and the midday heat. Bring water, sunscreen, and comfortable shoes. A truly unforgettable experience rich in history and culture.
