The River Front Campsite offers a peaceful retreat along the James River in Eagle Rock Virginia. Nestled on an eight acre parcel at the back of a working dairy farm, this campground provides both drive in and paddle in access, making it ideal for paddlers and campers looking for convenience and scenic beauty. Each campsite can accommodate up to six guests and comes equipped with a picnic table, fire ring, and level gravel area for tents. The site also includes group river access, port a potties, and a dumpster for trash. Guests are required to bring their own water and supplies, as no utilities or running water are available on site. The campground is unmanned and advanced reservations are necessary to secure a spot.

The location is about thirty minutes or approximately twenty one river miles upstream from Buchanan Virginia, allowing easy access for day trips or extended stays. Access to the campground by road requires passing under a railroad bridge that restricts vehicles longer than twenty five feet, so large RVs are not able to enter. This quiet and rustic setting offers a true riverfront camping experience for those seeking solitude, nature, and outdoor adventure while enjoying the flexibility of self guided camping and paddling opportunities.
