In my opinion, it is a somewhat overrated natural attraction, especially when it comes to the two different colors of water in one lake (one part blue, the other part green). This difference is visible to those who believe in myths and fairy tales. I am not saying that under certain conditions, at a certain moment, the colors (green and blue) do not differ from each other, but I think that this happens very rarely. There are two other crater lakes nearby, worth visiting. The most beautiful view is from a height, from the viewpoints above the lake itself, if the visitor is lucky with the weather. I must say, however, that there are many beautiful and interesting panoramic views on the way from Ponta Delgada to Sete Cidades.

If I had to choose a place to escape to enjoy the beauty of nature and away from the tourist hustle and bustle, this would be one of those places. For me, it's an absolutely perfect place for basically everything, admiring nature, walking, cycling, kayaking, hiking, and most importantly, just relaxing! A walk along Lagoa Verde is a truly wonderful time and what can I say, you have to see it.
