Excellent organization and execution. We bought a package to deliver us from the Cancun Airport to our hotel in Cozumel, and it worked perfectly! All stages of the long trip were well coordinated by the assigned hosts and drivers, and we felt safe and well taken care of. Mind you that the itinerary included trips from the airport to the ferry in Cancun, the ferry trip, and then from the ferry in Cozumel to the hotel, and vice versa. Be prepared to walk a bit when arriving at the ferry in Cancun, as there is no way to park close to it, and the same on your way back. However, the drivers will help you with your luggage as well. I super recommend this company for your transfer needs in Cancun/Cozumel!
I paid for five family members, but one child felt uncomfortable going into deeper water and quit at the very beginning even not leaving the ladder. I spoke with the front office to see if I could get a partial refund since one person did not participate. The staff declined, stating the activity was non-refundable. I then asked if they could at least offer me a discount on the photo package, which was an additional cost to the tour fee, but they refused again. I further requested they discuss my situation with their boss, they declined again. I strongly recommend considering this carefully before paying. The tour itself was also a bit disappointing — there was no free time to stay and enjoy the fish. One staff member kept pushing us to move forward, while another directed us to look at their camera and pose as instructed. Once the photos were taken, we were asked to leave the water. The entire process lasted no more than 25 minutes.
I’m not one to give negative reviews, but I wish there were some honest information about this excursion before we purchased it. To be fair the weather was pretty awful it was cold and rainy. I personally would’ve preferred it to be cancelled. It wasn’t and the day was not like anything that was included in the description. The “dune buggies” were old Japanese cars with the sides cut out. It was difficult for us all in our 20s/30s in good health to get in and out of the vehicles. We were just following the guide around to random little shops where everyone was asking for tips for their nondescript services. The one thing we were looking forward to was the tacos that was in the excursion description and the tour guide said where he was taking us was a cheap local spot. The tacos at this shop were not included the the excursion fee but the fajitas and if you wanted to buy a taco a set of 3 were $20+… again, we were just not expecting that experience. Understandable we weren’t able to snorkel but the beach we were able to get in the water in was very difficult to get to since the staircase to the beach had been washed out. The tour guide really did try to make the best out of the situation but I just we spent our day differently in Cozumel. Hope this honest review helps someone thinking about excursions in Cozumel.
