Trail rides at the park are led by two friendly and experienced wranglers, ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience for riders of all skill levels. As you journey along the trails, you’ll explore a variety of natural eco-communities and terrain, encountering abundant wildlife, flora, and fauna. Throughout the ride, guides share fascinating insights into the park’s natural, historical, and cultural significance, offering a deeper appreciation of this expansive natural preserve.
Guests can choose between one or two-hour rides, covering approximately three or six miles of trail, allowing for a fully immersive experience in the vibrant forest. All rides include a horse, necessary equipment, an approved equine activity riding helmet, and guidance from knowledgeable wranglers. The itinerary begins 30 minutes prior to the ride with arrival and safety briefings, followed by 50 or 110 minutes of trail riding, then 10 minutes for photos and dismounting, and concludes with a 10-minute thank you and farewell. Participants must be at least 8 years old and have a BMI of 31 or lower, and state park admission of $5 per vehicle is not included.
