Toccoa River Rail Tour Expands with Extended Stop and Accessible Travel Options

A 26-mile round-trip rail experience along the Toccoa River is offering passengers a relaxed journey through North Georgia’s scenic countryside. The route features winding waterways, abundant wildlife, and views of charming small-town landscapes, creating a peaceful setting for sightseeing and nature appreciation.

The extended four-hour tour now includes a two-hour layover, allowing visitors time to explore the twin towns of McCaysville and Copperhill. Guests can step off the train and enjoy local shops, riverfront views, and the historic character of the surrounding area at their own pace.

To accommodate different comfort needs, a range of coach options is available. The Closed Coach provides air-conditioned seating with padded chairs arranged in groups of four, along with onboard restroom access for added convenience during the journey.

A dedicated Handicap Accessible Coach is also available, featuring both stair and lift entry, open-air seating, and a 1,000-pound-capacity lift. It includes an accessible restroom and must be reserved directly through a ticket agent to ensure availability for passengers requiring assistance.
