Sunset on the waters of Merritt Island offers a truly magical experience. As the sky transforms into a canvas of vibrant colors, wildlife comes alive around you. Dolphins round up their dinner while manatees slowly move into the shallows, seeking a peaceful place to rest for the night. Paddle through calm waters surrounded by mangroves and palm trees, feeling the gentle rhythm of nature. Each moment offers a sense of serenity and wonder, making this an unforgettable escape into Florida’s stunning natural beauty. During the cooler months, the protected waters of the Indian River Lagoon host glowing Comb Jellies, gentle bioluminescent creatures that can be safely observed up close. In warmer months, the lagoon comes alive with dinoflagellates, single-celled organisms that light up with every movement in the water. From the trail of your paddle to the subtle glow of a passing manatee or stingray, every motion creates an awe-inspiring spectacle of light. This extraordinary bioluminescent display offers a unique and safe adventure, bringing you closer to the wonders of Florida’s vibrant aquatic ecosystems.

Our sunset mangrove tour was amazing, and we plan to return in the summer for the bioluminescent tour. The views were spectacular and the wildlife abundant. Our guide, Ian, was fantastic. He was very knowledgeable and personable. We learned so much about the area and its many inhabitants. Ian taught is tricks to navigate the narrow pathways of the mangroves (very cool). He gave us advice on other natural spaces to visit, and he even brought our kayak to the water and helped us in. The equipment was great. Comfy life jackets, large kayaks of good quality with comfortable seats. Five stars for Cocoa Kayaking! Five stars for Ian! Five stars for the Florida mangroves! 🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩

We had a great time on our bioluminescent tour of comb jellies! Captain Mike and Jake did a great job making sure we had everything we need, and had fun! Captain Mike was very knowledgeable about horseshoe crabs and the comb jellies. He was passionate about the water, animals and making sure we got to see the animals in action. My husband and I both found jellies ourselves and it was so fun and beautiful to touch the jellies and see them show their light! It was a beautiful night to be on the water. We really enjoyed it and its well worth a tour if you are in the area! Thank you!

Easy to find location. James was an fantastic and informative guide. We had an incredible experience when a younger manatee circled our kayak, came back to look at my daughter then inhaled a breath of air and returned into the water! Dolphins hunting for food nearby kayaks. Everything was so close! A great look at Florida's biodiversity!

We did the thousand island mangrove tour. Just our guide Ian, my wife and I. A nice two hour float. The communications, the meeting place, the reminders, everything was really good. I also like the fact that they give veteran discounts. I always appreciate that. He knew our primary goal if we could was to see manatees and dolphins. And he took us for some spots that we were able to see both. Ian has good knowledge of the local flora and fauna and regularly shared it with us. I am a birder, and definitely scored some lifers. He was helpful with a good safety briefing, PFD fitting, and helping us both launch and return to shore. He also informed us at the beginning that he would take photos and videos and send them to us after our tour. He did and they came promptly within a few hours. I would highly recommend this company and Ian, compared to my search of other local kayak companies. After our tour, Ian also gave us suggestions for other local places to see manatees and birds in the wild. We went to Haul-over Canal, Bair’s Cove, and the NWR on Merritt Island. All solid recommendations!

My husband and I had a great experience! We went out at 9am and had calm waters. Our guide, James, was wonderful. He gave us the perfect amount of information not too much to feel like you were overloaded with it. He was so relaxed and laid back which we loved! We got to see a bunch of birds, a tree crab, some tarpons and a dolphin! We would definitely do this again!
