Our experience begins with a warm welcome and introductions at the office, followed by a scenic drive to the region’s famed distilleries. Oaxaca’s rugged landscapes, rich in agave plants, set the stage for a deep dive into this cherished cultural tradition. Guests will discover the meticulous, centuries-old processes behind mezcal production, from harvesting the agave hearts, known as piñas, to the slow cooking, fermentation, and careful distillation that transform the plant into a liquid emblem of the region’s heritage.
