Join us at Coyote Adventures for an unforgettable mountain biking journey through the enchanting Sierra Norte. Our adventure begins with a warm welcome at our office, followed by a brief introduction to the day’s experiences. We then travel by van to the sacred lands of the Pueblos Mancomunados, a collective of rural communities dedicated to preserving their Zapotec heritage and promoting sustainable living. These communities exemplify the spirit of communal harmony, guided by the principles of La Comunalidad, which emphasize shared territory, collective decision-making, community labor, and vibrant local celebrations. As we traverse the lush mountain landscapes, we will explore charming villages, cross peaceful forests, and witness the harmonious relationship between the people and their land. Along the way, our knowledgeable guides will share the rich stories and philosophies that have shaped this remarkable region for generations. The journey leads us to breathtaking viewpoints, serene forest trails, and the mystical Cerro del Jaguar, a sacred site steeped in Zapotec legends and rituals. We will stroll through cobblestone streets, connect with local hosts, and gain insight into the resilient way of life maintained by these communities. Our adventure concludes with a traditional meal in Lachatao, where we savor local flavors and refreshing beverages while reflecting on the day’s experiences. Returning to Oaxaca city, participants carry with them not just memories of stunning landscapes but a profound understanding of cultural heritage, sustainability, and the beauty of community life thriving in harmony with nature.

Highly recommend! Buca, and our guides Tanus and Uri were amazing. Everyone was hospitable and friendly, the riding is great, accommodations were comfortable, and the the location of TSN in the city is perfect for walking to restaurants and shops.

One of the best mountain bike guiding shuttle services in the world. The terrain is incredible, and the community even better. Do not hesitate to plan an adventure with TranSierra Norte, they will keep you happy and well fed the whole time. Can’t wait to get back for another trip!

This was an incredible trip with the team. Great guide and driver, steep sweet trails, beautiful forests, and amazing food- surrounded by the art and culture of Oaxaca! The riding is hard, but very addictive. WOW. Thank you TSN!

Cannot say enough about how amazing the experience with TSN was. Buca runs a great team. They put great attention into everything from describing the trails to cleaning the van. We rode with Buca, Tanus, Chett, Taric (sp?), and Fernando. All were excellent guides. They gave us a great balance of challenge and patience. They took us to several trails in a few different areas over our 4 days. A combination of laps through short trails with a few long rides that descended into Oaxaca or a nearby village. We also booked a Cultural Day, Yefra was our driver. The textiles (wool rugs) was an amazing shop. We also got to see the Tree of Life, the biggest circumference tree on the planet, as well as the petrified waterfall. Such a great balance to our biking adventures. Yefra was great with giving us extra information and helping translate. Oh, and the lunch spots. Holy cow, the lunches were amazing!! They have long standing relationships with families in the rural areas and you get amazing, fresh and traditional meals. My crew has ridden in Finale, Dolomites, and many places in US, we all agreed that we'll be back to TSN. Such a great experience. Even the best shredders in our group and the other groups we chatted with agreed that a full-faced helmet is the way to go. Bebopping around Centro Oaxaca is just the cherry on the cake.
