Primitive campsites at Lake Leatherwood offer a simple and refreshing outdoor experience for campers who love nature and value quiet surroundings. Each site includes a raised tent platform, picnic table, and fire ring with a grill, making it easy to enjoy outdoor meals and relaxed evenings by the fire. Restroom facilities and a nearby bathhouse provide added convenience, while pets on a leash are welcome, allowing guests to bring their companions along. These sites do not include electrical, water, or waste hookups, giving campers a more authentic and unplugged stay.
Guests should note that there is no water directly at the sites, but water spigots are available near the bathhouse and parking area. Check in begins at 3pm and check out is at 2pm. For stays longer than seven nights, guests are asked to call ahead. Military members can receive a discount by entering code 002 when booking, with proof of service required at check in. This peaceful lakeside setting offers a simple yet comfortable way to enjoy the outdoors surrounded by natural beauty.
