Holiday Tacky Lights Tour Brings Festive Wine and Craft Beer Experience to Charlottesville
A seasonal public hop-on tour is offering visitors a festive and convenient way to explore some of the most popular holiday light displays in the Charlottesville area. Departing from downtown at Three Notch'd Brewing Company, the experience provides round-trip transportation, allowing guests to enjoy the evening without the stress of driving during the busy holiday season.
The first stop takes participants to Brewing Tree Beer Company, where guests spend approximately an hour and a half exploring the “Best Lights of Christmas.” The experience includes illuminated displays, a warming tent, Santa’s sleigh, and access to a riverfront bar area, with food and beverages available for those who wish to purchase them.
The tour then continues to Veritas Vineyards, where guests enjoy a one-hour walk along a half-mile illuminated trail through wooded areas and vineyard landscapes. The combination of soft lighting and natural surroundings creates a calm, atmospheric holiday experience designed for families and groups of friends alike.
Running from early evening until approximately 9:30–10:00 PM, the tour includes onboard amenities such as bottled water, light snacks, music, and charging stations to enhance comfort throughout the journey. Operating rain or shine, the experience requires a minimum number of participants and emphasizes safety guidelines, including proper identification and child seating requirements. Blending festive displays with relaxed travel, the tour offers a stress-free way to enjoy the region’s holiday season.

Customer Reviews
It was awesome...didn't know what you expect but it was totally worth it. Brought my kiddos and they rated it 10/10
What a truly wonderful thing they do for their community and the community at large! Fun and creative lights and they open their garage/carport and make hot cocoa for everyone (please donate!).
Thank you so much Al and Esther Thompson, their helpers, and their neighbors for bringing cheer and happiness to people in Richmond! I am so grateful for leaving on 15 minutes from the spectacular light show. We bring our family and friends to here every year to share the joy. Thank you for your unselfishness and big heart!
