Very, very disappointed in this company. I have taken many ferries in Greece and I have never seen anything like that. There is absolutely no communication or regard for your plans. I had booked my trip giving an email address and a phone number, so I was not expecting to be told boats were cancelled for the day after taking a one-hour trip by taxi to Chora Sfakion. At this point, it was well past 12, and the lady in the booth stated that the decision had been made at 9am. So, during three hours, there was no text, no email. The other ferry companies I travelled with sent updates by at least one and often both. I took a hotel nearby and waited to take the ferry on the next day. I check on the website, the only warning is about Gavdos (not my destination), and they are still selling tickets online for my destination, so I go back to Chora Sfakion. The lady in the booth says, it's not possible, only to go to Loutro (not my destination). No warning online, nothing. I leave Chora Sfakion, losing my two hotel nights, and learn six hours later by the hotel I was meant to go to that there have been boats going there today, so I could have taken one after all. So, in summary: Anendyk didn't warn about cancellations in advance, you have to request the refund yourself by email, and they lied to me on the second day saying there were no boats. Won't use ever again.

This ferry line is a tricky one. Many people complain about delays, cancellations, or other mishaps, but we were spared. We booked tickets online for the round trip from Hora Sfakion to Agia Roumeli. The timetable listed it as a direct voyage, yet both ways we stopped at Loutro. For us it was fine since we weren’t in a rush, but the website definitely gave the impression it would be direct. Parking at the harbour is plentiful, though the closest spots fill up early in the morning. We used a private lot for €5 for the whole day. Tickets for the ferry are €25 per person round trip — not cheap, but not outrageous either. Our boat left with a 15-minute delay, which in the scheme of things isn’t bad. The journey itself takes about an hour and is quite pleasant. The ferry is large, with several outside decks and seating areas, some shaded. Inside, there’s a spacious lounge with big windows and sofas, and a small kiosk selling snacks and drinks. All in all, it worked smoothly for us — but I can see how others might get frustrated if they expected strict punctuality or a truly direct line.

Unreliable, disrespectful, and disorganized – avoid if you’re on a schedule We had a very frustrating experience with Aeolus Anendyk Seaways. From the beginning, they showed a complete lack of organization and respect for their customers. They left us waiting under the sun for 10 minutes, then made us wait another 5 minutes without giving any explanation. Even worse, on the return trip, the ferry was supposed to leave at 18:15, as clearly stated on our ticket. We have a bus from Sfakia to Chania at 18:30, and now it’s 18:45 and we are still waiting here with no information or updates. This company clearly has no respect for people’s time or travel plans. If you have any connections or appointments, do not rely on them. They are simply not serious and show zero consideration for their passengers. I’m sharing this so others know in advance and can plan better. You deserve better service than this. I sincerely hope the management takes action to improve their services and treat customers with the respect they deserve.
