Oh my gosh. My favorite tour so far in Portugal (I did about 5 other tours). The food was amazing and definitely had stuff I wouldn't have gone out of my way to get before. While I'm not super into wine, I still enjoyed it with the food. But really what stole the show was how good our guide Paulo was. Like wow! He was knowledgeable, engaging, and clearly cared about food. Try to get him specifically if you can! You can also tell he has a great relationship with folks in the market because multiple people greeted him happily when he walked by even when their store wasn't part of the tour. I actually took a bunch of photos but I'll just post a couple so I don't ruin the surprise (part of the joy was anticipating what would be next)

We loved this food tour. We have done plenty of these and this one was right up there and a great intro to Porto and its fantastic food and drink. Our guide Pedro was excellent and the food and drink were really good. The sandwich at Flor de Congregados - sandes terylene maybe? - was absolutely immense. Who thought a sandwich could be this good. We ate at some of the other restaurants Pedro recommended and they were also great choices.

We recently visited Porto and took this fantastic tour. Over the past several years when traveling we have tried to find local food and wine type of walking tours to experience the City and this one did not disappoint. Our guide, Miguel, was personable, enthusiastic, funny, and we couldn't have asked for a better guide. This tour had plenty of stops, no one left hungry or thirsty, we learned history and culture, and met great people. Our group consisted of Miguel and 6 other tourists. Miguel spoke English and was fantastic. Meats, cheeses, wine, desserts, port, fish, sandwiches (bafina sandwiches rock!)...... The tour started at a local shop, moved to the market, continued to a tavern, and ended with a Port tasting. A fully packed 3.5 hr tour and worth every penny. Love these type of tours, gives you a feel for the City, recommendations for the next day or two, and great food and wine. Highly recommend.

I had an amazing experience on the Taste of Porto Food and Wine Tour with Sérgio as our guide. He was incredibly knowledgeable, well spoken, and so down-to-earth. His passion for Porto and Portuguese culture really came through in every stop and story he shared. Sérgio was very thorough and detailed, explaining not only the food and wine, but also the history and traditions behind them. I walked away having learned so much, not just about Porto’s gastronomy, but also its rich history and Portugal’s cultural roots. Overall, it was an insightful, delicious, and fun tour. Highly recommend booking this experience, especially if you’re lucky enough to have Sérgio as your guide!

So glad we planned this tour for our first day in Porto – it was the perfect way to get to know the city! Our guide, Riccardo, was incredibly passionate and knowledgeable, weaving together local food, produce, history, politics, and architecture in such an engaging way. We learned so much, and the tastings were very generous, plenty of delicious food and lots of wine too. A fantastic experience that I would highly recommend!
