I cannot recommend this company. We paid $20 for parking only to be told that due to mechanical issues they would not be sailing today. There was no signage anywhere to indicate that, nothing on their website, nothing on their social media. When we asked what we were supposed to do about the parking we just paid for, the very extremely rude and apathetic employee at the window told us it was basically our problem and that they don't have anything to do with the parking. No, but they could warn people in the parking lot that the boats were not sailing before they paid. To be clear, the only time we were informed that the ferries were not running was when we tried to buy tickets. The employee said it was announced on the website and Facebook, but that is not true. We checked both, before and after. My husband served 20 years in the Navy and was looking forward to the tour, but this left a bad taste in his mouth and he now refuses to give them anymore business. The employee with the really terrible attitude didn't help. I would avoid this one and choose one of the many other wonderful tours in Charleston.

We had a great tour on the boat! Our guide was very knowledgeable, and we learned a few interesting things about the area. The boat portion of the trip was wonderful, and we truly enjoyed the experience out on the water. Unfortunately, once we got close to the fort, the wind was incredibly strong, and for safety reasons, the crew had to cancel the walking portion and head back. While it was a bummer not to walk the fort, we appreciated the crew prioritizing safety. We will absolutely be attempting this again on our next trip! Highly recommended—just keep an eye on the wind forecast!

We took the first ferry tour of the day and got to see them do the flag raising ceremony. It was very moving and patriotic. They asked members of the military to assist. We enjoyed all of the historical information shared on the ferry ride to the fort and also the museum at the fort. I would highly recommend this tour!

Left from the Charleston Visitor Center. Only way to get to Ft. Sumter is by boat. Half hour ride over and back with a 1 hour tour of the fort. Park Rangers available to answer questions. Very interested history. Museum on site and exhibits. No restrooms at the fort so go while on the boat ride. Take water with you as the boat has a gift shop that sells drinks & snacks. Definitely worth the trip if you enjoy history and have never been to Ft. Sumter.

Great tour and very informative tour. Fort Sumter is a Bucket list item, which you should definitely do if you’re going to Charleston. This was a great way to do it. The Rangers had a great talk. The crew was very nice with every interaction. We saw dolphins on the way. Overall great experience.
