Great tour with Linda! Hikes were great and no walk in the park as we were hiking everyday. Nothing super technical but hiking everyday for this weekend warrior took effort😀 Most of us were from across Canada and there was always the option for a day off but my FOMO was too great. Ireland is not flat. I wanted to experience Ireland a bit slower and spend time on the landscape and my expectations were exceeded. Would recommend!
I’m so glad I found this tour for my very first trip to Ireland. Linda, our guide, was absolutely wonderful—exceptionally kind, patient, and relaxed, not to mention an excellent driver. She made us feel safe the entire time while also filling each day with adventure. We went on the Newgrange tour in July of 2025. The experience was amazing! There was so much to learn, and friendly staff excited to share their knowledge. Matt, our tour guide, was fantastic. He truly helped to make the day wonderful and worry free for us. I highly recommend this tour if you are looking to get out of the city and learn about Ireland’s history Neolithic to the famine.
The Kerry Way is both beautiful and challenging. Hilltop Treks set up wonderful accommodations. All instructions and materials provided in the walk-pack (maps, walking guide, and accommodations list) were detailed. Baggage transfers were timely. I experienced one baggage transfer issue when another tour operator mistakenly picked up my bag. This occurred despite 2 clearly indicated Hilltop Trek tags (provided in the walk pack). Communication with Hilltop Treks tracked down my bag and it arrived in a very short time. Prior to my trip, the messages I received were extremely helpful and all of my questions were answered in short order. I had a wonderful solo experience on the Kerry Way!
Hugh and Terry were fantastic guides for our guided trip trekking through Northern Ireland and Ireland! No detail was missed from getting us everywhere safely on the road to the tops of Ireland’s peaks. A wonderful outfit that I can’t recommend highly enough!
