John was amazing!!! He told enriching stories about Galway, its history, and notable figures. He also threw in his own experiences from time to time! He interacted with our whole, 10 person group, and by the end we were all so friendly! Cannot recommend this enough!

As an Irish visitor to Galway - this tour was just as engaging as it would be to other tourists, and not gimmicky from an Irish point of view like some others could be. We visited Galway for the first time and stumbled upon a “dark history” tour with Experience Galway. Our guide Conor was excellent. He was so knowledgeable and funny. It was about an hour and a half which is the perfect length. The 6:30 start time meant beautiful evening light around the historic city. It’s the perfect way to feel connected with a place even if you don’t have much time. And I just think the mysteries, lore and “true crime” vibes are so interesting compared to a standard historical day time tour. Highly recommend!
