Iron Age grave mound in the middle of Swedish fields. History is linked with the larger mounds in Old Uppsala. Worth visiting if you are a (Viking) history buff. The mound is at the end of a narrow gravel road. Do not trespass, but leave your car on the marked spot.
This is a special place, where our ancestors buried their loved ones and listened to the wind and leaves. The creek nearby is the same that runs through modern Upssala
Interesting place to visit beside the main attraction or Gamla Uppsala. During the spring and summer you can find many wild flowers. If you want to spend some time in silence then it’s place for you..
It is almost hauntingly beautiful at this old iron age field of graves and you definitely feel a connection to the ages past. It is very off the beaten track, even if it is rather close to the spectacular burial mounds of Old Uppsala, so you'll be sure to have the place for yourself. There isn't anything left of the actual contents of the graves at this site. That's all been moved to museums etc, so don't expect any artifacts.
