We hosted my best friend’s surprise bridal shower high tea at the Shangri-La Hotel and it was absolutely perfect! The venue was stunning, the atmosphere felt so elegant and special, and the staff went above and beyond to make everything run smoothly. The food and tea selection were incredible beautifully presented and delicious. It was such a memorable experience, and I couldn’t have asked for a better setting to celebrate such an important occasion. Highly recommend for anyone planning a special event or high tea!

TL;DR: Beautiful high tea spot with stunning views and elegant décor, perfect for the atmosphere alone. Savoury food and sandwiches were lovely, but the desserts were underwhelming and the service was slow, likely due to the Easter holiday. Worth visiting for the view, but I hope the service and sweets improve next time. Full Review: High Tea on Level 36 is located in the same building as the Shangri-La Hotel, and the view is absolutely immaculate, easily one of the main reasons to visit. You could come here for the view alone and still feel it was worth it. The décor is refined and perfectly in line with the elegant high tea theme, exuding grace and sophistication. There’s only one set menu for high tea, with a selection of varying drink options. The teaware is lovely and fits the aesthetic, though I was surprised to see it sourced from T2 Tea. While it looked beautiful, it felt a bit underwhelming given the otherwise luxurious setting, I had expected something a little more exclusive or sophisticated. I visited on Easter Friday, so it’s likely many of their regular staff were on holiday. Unfortunately, this affected the service speed, as it took around 14 minutes after being seated for someone to attend to us. Hopefully, the service is smoother on a normal day. The savoury bites and sandwiches were delightful as they were fresh, well-balanced, and flavourful. However, the desserts were somewhat disappointing. While they looked beautiful and were clearly themed for Easter, the pastry crusts were too thick, and there wasn’t enough cream or lightness to balance the richness. The chocolate elements were quite heavy, which is enjoyable if you love rich chocolate, but a bit much for my taste. I ended up leaving about half of the dessert selection unfinished. Overall, I would return for the view, ambiance, and savoury food, but I hope the service efficiency and dessert quality improve next time. It’s a lovely experience, but one that still has room to grow into the standard its setting promises.

Everything is perfect except most of the desserts are a bit too sweet for us (Sorry). Special thanks to you guys for welcoming us here, super heart warming. In addition, we were served by Laura and Cam, who are both very patient and kind. Highly recommended if you like to meet great people while enjoying a magnificent harbor view!

The view is absolutely stunning, making for a perfect dining experience. The portion sizes of the food are generous and satisfying. Our server, Laura, was exceptional. She took wonderful care of our table, ensuring we had everything we needed. Her attention to detail and friendly demeanor truly enhanced our visit. Highly recommend!🥰⭐️

Stunning views of the harbour are matched by delicate morsels of deliciousness, generous pourings of sparkling wine and excellent service at this ideal setting for a milestone birthday High Tea. It includes assorted savoury and sweet taste sensations and two(!) scones with homemade jam and clotted cream and a range of teas with Australian flavour notes. Just fabulous
