Freediving Level 1

If you’re ready to take your snorkelling skills to the next level and explore the underwater world on a single breath, the SSI Level 1 Freediver course is the perfect place to begin. This two-day program is designed for complete beginners as well as confident snorkellers looking to dive deeper and build strong foundational skills. Across theory, pool sessions, and ocean dives, you’ll learn the techniques and knowledge needed to safely freedive to depths of up to 20 metres. Guided by a passionate and qualified instructor, you’ll discover how to breathe, relax, equalise, and move efficiently underwater, all while building confidence and comfort in a supportive environment.

Day one focuses on theory and pool practice, while day two takes you into the open ocean for depth training and, where time permits, a fun freedive to enjoy your new skills. All equipment, pool entry, and course materials are included, making your journey smooth and stress-free. Just bring your personal items, swim gear, snacks, and enthusiasm. As with all courses, you’ll need to complete a medical form and online theory beforehand. This course is your first step toward becoming a lifelong freediver, opening the door to a world that is magical, mysterious, and incredibly rewarding.
