A structured five-day open water swimming program in Porto Santo is offering participants an immersive way to experience one of the Atlantic’s most distinctive island environments. Known as the “Golden Island” for its long stretches of luminous sand, Porto Santo provides a calm yet visually striking setting for daily guided swims and coastal exploration.


Each day of the program introduces a different swimming route along the island’s coastline, where participants encounter a mix of natural features including sea caves, rock arches, and dramatic cliffs. The surrounding waters form part of a designated UNESCO Biosphere Reserve, highlighting the ecological importance of the marine habitats and coastal ecosystems that define the region.


The program is designed to balance physical activity with relaxation, making use of Porto Santo’s warm, clear Atlantic waters. Routes vary in scenery and difficulty, with shifting shades of deep blue and turquoise accompanying swimmers along protected stretches of coastline that remain largely unspoiled by heavy development.


Outside the water, participants stay in beachfront accommodation, with easy access to the sea and meals served in a buffet-style setting. Light land-based activities, group walks, and periods of rest complement the daily swims, creating a slower-paced rhythm that emphasizes wellness, nature connection, and recovery between sessions.

I cannot recommend Swimcamp for all levels of swimmers. The level of coaching is to a very high standard. It's encouraging, fun and definitely made me a better swimmer. The camp in Mallorca was absolutely amazing. It was the perfect mix of sea and pool swimming with video analysis, technique sessions, skulling, signing, mass starts, and buoy turns. As a triathlete, I was concerned it would be very competition-specific for swimming, but I was so wrong. The hotel and food were fab, and the general vibe in the group was fantastic. I won't hesitate to sign up again for a Spanish swim camp with Susan, Manuela, Ben, Aoife and Bjorn. Thank you.

My best swimcamp ever 🏊🥳 Super coaches , lots of swim , good mix between pool and open water. Technic, swim twice a day and video analysis, that I could benefit from right away. A lot of happy people, good food and a good hotel . I will for sure be back and big recommendation to this camp. See you next year 🤩

I had a fantastic experience at the Mallorca Swim Camp. Everything was extremely well organised, with a perfect balance of pool sessions and open-water swims in beautiful locations. The addition of yoga and mobility/stretching classes made the programme even more valuable and enjoyable. The atmosphere was supportive and motivating, and the coaching team really created a great environment. I thoroughly enjoyed the whole week and would highly recommend this camp to anyone looking to improve their swimming while having an unforgettable experience in Mallorca.
