This experience is hands down the most unforgettable memory of Madeira! Swimming in the open ocean with Swim Madeira was absolutely magical. My wife and I took the 4-hour guided swim in the Garajau Natural Reserve, and it felt like swimming in a giant aquarium. The ocean was stunning: crystal-clear blue water, abundant fish life, and beautiful underwater topography. Our guide, a true elite-level swimmer, was exceptional. From the first minute, we felt 100% safe and secure, and instantly connected with her warm, genuine hospitality. I truly felt right at home. I also have to praise the super-efficient organization: communication was flawless, the GoPro footage was fantastic, and the social media support was top-notch. I categorically recommend this! If you are a swimmer—regardless of your level—you absolutely cannot miss this experience. It’s an absolute must-do!

Review of my Swim Madeira & Porto Santo Experience 🏊‍♀️🇵🇹 I’ve just returned from one of the most beautiful and unforgettable weeks of my life – swimming around Madeira and Porto Santo with Swim Madeira. 💙 From the very first moment, everything was filled with warmth, kindness and joy. Mayra Santos and João Duarte are not just amazing coaches – they are heart-led people who truly teach love through swimming. Mayra’s energy and João’s calm wisdom create such a safe and inspiring space that you find yourself swimming further, smiling wider, and feeling completely alive. The swims themselves were pure magic: turquoise water, volcanic cliffs, colorful fish and that quiet sense of being part of something bigger. On Porto Santo, we swam along golden beaches and climbed to the lighthouse at Ilhéu de Cima — a place few people ever reach. It felt like time stopped. I came to Madeira to swim, but I left with so much more — friendship, peace, and a deep gratitude for life. 🌞 Thank you, Swim Madeira, for giving me back my joy and my strength. I can’t recommend this experience enough. If you love the ocean, this is the place to be. 🌊✨

Amazing 3km guided swim with Mayra along the Garajau Nature Reserve. I had the best time. I'm new to sea swimming but her enthusiasm and love of the ocean were infectious and I had the best time. Her photos and videos were superb quality.
