Fort Lucan is a fantastic experience for all the family. We brought 3 children (aged 4 to 10) and they had lots of fun! So much to for them to do - a super playground / fort - water slide, a water fall slide, climbing castles, sand pits, slides, crazy golf and lots more. The staff were fabulous and looked after us so well and were very kind to the children . Lovely picnic areas and coffee shop/ cafe with yummy pizzas! They didn’t want to leave ! It’s super organised and well maintained - All in a safe and enclosed environment - we’ll be back very soon!
Playgrounds are good. Green/Waterfall slide is very fast and you will surely get wet. Red and blue slides are ok and you can survive it mostly dry. Both red and blue needs 2 kid in a raft so if you visit with 1 child you will be in trouble as you as an adult cannot use the red one. Zip lines are bad design, any kid can get on it but becase it is not no a slope all kids get stuck in the middle and it's too high to jump off fo under 8s.
We recently spent the day at Fort Lucan, and I have to say—it’s absolutely brilliant for kids! Picture a massive outdoor playground filled with adventure and excitement at every corner. There’s so much for them to do—from ride-on go-karts and high slides to the splashy water slide rides and climbing frames. It’s ideal for children who love to be active and outdoors. The place is really well set up for a full day out. I’d highly recommend bringing a picnic—there’s plenty of space to sit, relax, and enjoy your food while the kids burn off all their energy. The staff are mostly young, but genuinely lovely and very friendly. They were great with the children and happy to help with anything we needed. Overall, it’s a fantastic day out, especially in good weather. The kids absolutely loved it, and we’ll definitely be going back again. A great mix of fun, freedom, and fresh air!
