Giraffe Encounter

Step into the world of giraffes with an unforgettable 15-minute encounter with Shaba and Mzungu in our open-range area. Guided by one of our experienced keepers, you’ll step onto a raised feeding platform and get face-to-face with these gentle giants. Watch in awe as Shaba eagerly pulls leaves from your hands or see Mzungu delicately take each leaf with her dexterous tongue. This behind-the-scenes experience allows you to learn about giraffe behaviour, diet, and care while enjoying a safe and up-close interaction with two of the zoo’s most impressive residents.

Please note that zoo entry is not included and must be purchased separately. The experience is suitable for children aged 6 and above, with those under 16 required to be accompanied by a paying adult. Guests are encouraged to bring a sense of adventure and wear comfortable walking shoes, as some movement around the platform and open-range area may be involved. This encounter offers a rare opportunity to connect with giraffes in an educational and thrilling way, creating memories that will last a lifetime.
