This is a really lovely place, and the food itself was absolutely lovely. Only key piece of information to note is that the scrambled eggs, that didn't mention any meat in their description came on sourdough toast with pieces of chorizo in it. I appreciate that it was not marked as vegetarian on the menu, but my partner and her sister are both vegetarian and had not seen any meat in that listing so thought it was okay, but ended up being quite surprised. Edit: Since this review, Conor (the Owner) has followed up with me and they have looked into the issues that caused this. He has been incredibly lovely, and I can see it was a simple mistake which will not recur, will definitely be returning if in the area, it is a lovely café.

Lovely place. We ordered crab claws and a crab poke bowl. Both were delicious and fresh. The crab was really tasty. Staffed were attentive and friendly.

A really enjoyable dinner, attractively presented by a warm and friendly staff in aesthetically pleasing surroundings. We will definitely be back again. 😀

An absolute gem. Breakfast here is the highlight of our week. The food is consistently excellent. 1000% the best Breakfast and coffee in Wexford (plus the Trough). Beautiful interior, gorgeous music always and super baby friendly. The family that own it could not be nicer & more personable. We always feel really welcome. The staff are equally lovely and cannot do enough for you. This place is a true labour of love and it shows in the attention to small details. The pastries and bread are incredible. We are so lucky to have such a gorgeous business in our area. Take a bow The Grounds. ☕️

What a welcome addition to any community, employment, prominent vacant restaurant premises re-occupied, and great food, be it for brekkie, morning coffees, lunch, afternoon pick me ups or dinner. I have to mention the delicious cakes/buns and the to-die-for sourdough and brown breads, especially first thing in the morning, fresh from their own dedicated bakery. Try ‘em you won’t be disappointed. Be sure to reserve a table for Dinner, The Grounds is deservedly popular and going to become “a destination” in its own right. I’ve enjoyed dinner in The Grounds several times and each time savoured the fantastic tastes and subtle flavours. The kitchen turns out wonderful foods ….. try the “Special” for dinner, tell ‘em I recommended it …. You’ll be thrilled with your choice. The Grounds is a place you’ll keep returning to ………the cooking, the ambiance, the quality ingredients and the pleasant and attentive staff are all first class. One small gripe, the room temperature can fluctuate, and the management are attentive to this. The wine list is short, with a range of prices, the ones I’ve sampled were very appealing, but I’m no wine expert. They have no beers or spirits, yet.
