This unique adventure combines two of the best experiences on Yuin Country, the far South Coast of NSW, kayaking and oysters. The tour begins and ends at Broadwater Oysters, an award-winning Sydney Rock Oyster farm set within the stunning Beowa National Park. Guests will paddle along the pristine waters of the Pambula River under the guidance of an expert kayak instructor, who provides all necessary instruction for beginners. As you glide along, your guide will point out fascinating wildlife, reveal hidden features of the river, and explain the workings of the oyster leases you pass. The tour concludes with an immersive oyster experience at Broadwater Oysters, where you will learn the art of shucking, explore oyster cultivation, and savor the exquisite flavors of freshly harvested oysters. For those who prefer not to eat oysters, a local cheese tasting platter is provided upon request. The tour is easy, suitable for all fitness levels, with calm flat waters and safe, accessible landing sites.

Guests are advised to bring a hat, sunglasses, reef-safe sunscreen, shoes that can get wet, comfortable clothing, any personal medication, a water bottle, a camera or phone, and a raincoat or jacket for cooler conditions. Expert kayak guides provide assistance entering and exiting the kayaks safely, but participants must be able to bend their knees comfortably while seated. Kayaks have a maximum weight limit of 130kg and trained assistance animals are not permitted. Please note there are no accessible toilets at Broadwater Oysters; the nearest facilities are a short walk away. This combination of kayaking and culinary experience offers a memorable way to connect with the natural beauty and local produce of the South Coast.

A nice small stroll around the beach and Rotary park. Didn't do the extended walk. This is about a 30-45min visit unless swimming or undertaking the extended walk.

We launched our kayak here and paddled upriver for just over an hour. A very pretty place. The park area at the rivermouth has car parking, good clean public toilets and drinking water, and the small picturesque beach has lovely white sand.

This is my favourite beach. Not sure if seasonal but dogs allowed at the moment on leads. Have been here in summer and dogs not allowed. Definitely worth a visit
