Canberra Balloon Spectacular

The Canberra Balloon Spectacular is a world renowned annual event where balloonists from across Australia and previously around the globe gather to soar above the city in a stunning display of color and flight. Each morning, weather permitting, balloons launch from the iconic Parliamentary Triangle providing breathtaking views and a truly unforgettable spectacle. Passengers enjoy approximately forty five minutes in the air, gliding gently over Canberra’s unique city layout, parks, and landmarks while experiencing the calm and magic of lighter than air flight. Flights are conducted by highly experienced CASA approved pilots with decades of expertise ensuring that every journey is safe, enjoyable, and seamless. The experience concludes with a celebratory glass of champagne, making it a perfect combination of adventure, relaxation, and elegance.

This remarkable experience requires a total of three to four hours to allow for check in, pre flight briefing, and post flight celebrations. Balloon Aloft has over thirty five years of experience conducting commercial balloon flights over Canberra and is recognized as a leader in hot air ballooning. Guests are encouraged to bring items that will enhance their comfort and capture the beauty of the flight, such as cameras, warm clothing, and sensible footwear.
