TWO DAY, TWO NIGHT HOWQUA VALLEY RIDE

Embark on an unforgettable high country adventure with our two night, one day ride through the spectacular Howqua Valley. Arrive on Friday afternoon and settle into the tranquil surroundings of Howqua Valley Views at your leisure. The first day begins with a hearty breakfast before a short drive to our historic Watson family high country farm. From here, the iconic “Man from Snowy River” experience begins, taking you on horseback to enjoy breathtaking panoramic views. Along the trail, observe the local wildlife including kangaroos, wallabies, and magnificent native birds. Pause for a picnic lunch at our bush hut before continuing along creek beds and bridle tracks to your charming accommodation at Howqua Valley Views, a converted bunkhouse with cozy rooms and bathrooms. The day concludes with a relaxing hot shower and a delicious roast dinner in one of Victoria’s most picturesque valleys.

The second day starts with a nourishing country breakfast to fuel your energy for the ride to Kate Camerons Peak. Here you will see the famous steep hill where the legendary jump scene from the “Man from Snowy River” movie was filmed, offering stunning views over the valley and surrounding mountains. After this iconic experience, the ride concludes back at the farm with a delightful lunch, marking the end of your high country adventure.
