It's a great day out. Good crew and everyone is there to make you have a good time. We had 3 snorkels at different reefs and plenty of time at each location. The equipment was in good condition. There was a light snack, healthy lunch and afternoon tea provided which was fresh and enjoyable. Our tour had both divers and snorkelling and it went without a hitch.
What a great experience! We did the half day low isles cruise, the crew was fantastic, did a great job explaining everything about the tour and safety on board. When we got to the island we did the glass bottom boat tour and the captain did amazing job explaining about the reef and ecological life cycle. After that, we went snorkeling and it was amazing!! Highly recommend this company and crew for reef cruises and I hope to be back in the area again soon we can take the full day cruise
Had a great experience on the Calypso for a family of four on August 2025. The whole experience had a personal touch from a very attentive and caring crew. All four of us snorkelled at the first stop then my 15yo and I did an introductory scuba dive with Skyler. He was great - taking us to see the reef itself and so many wonderful fish. It was awesome - so good we did another dive with Skyler at the third stop. This was the best reef experience I’ve had compared to several other previous visits. My 15yo loved it too as a first timer. I’ve tried the ‘silver’ experience in the past, but recommend the golden day on the reef with Calypso and crew. Fabulous.
Exactly as advertised! The team did a great job helping out a first time snorkeler and they seemed to really care about safety. The sites were gorgeous literally swam over sharks and a seemingly infinite number of types of fish. We even saw a whale on the way back. The lunch was sandwiches and salads and was well done. The boat ride to and from the outer reef is gorgeous too! Absolutely perfect first snorkel in such an amazing place.
Three of us went out with Calypso on the snorkel/dive tour, 21st July 2025. 2 of us diving, one snorkelling. From the very start the crew were friendly, made us feel welcome and explained things clearly. We went out to Agincourt Reef, where we did 3 dives at different sites (Anybody's, Phils Reef and Castle Rock). All were great sites, and the instructors looked after us really well. My friend hadn't been diving in 12 years, and I hadn't been in the water for 10 months, so they made sure we were both comfortable and kept an eye on us till we felt a little more confident. Full equipment was provided, and it was all in good condition. I particularly liked the fact a dive computer was fixed into the SPG, even though I had my own. Food on board was really nice, plentiful and welcome. The boat was well-equipped, with space for everyone. My one niggle was that the diving space was very full, and I had to wait to gear up till someone else had moved, but that was a minor point. It was a full diving contingent on the day we went. I cannot thank the crew enough, we had an amazing day. Skyler was excellent on briefing, but I was in the other group with Reenie, thank you to both. I'd definitely book with Calypso again next time I'm in Port Douglas.
