Barcelona Sailing Experience Celebrates Vermouth Tradition on the Mediterranean

A unique sailing excursion along Barcelona’s coastline is inviting visitors to discover one of Catalonia’s most cherished culinary traditions through a relaxed vermouth workshop at sea. Combining coastal sailing with local gastronomy, the experience offers an immersive introduction to the flavors and culture that define the Mediterranean aperitif.

Guided by a professional chef, participants learn about the aromas, ingredients, and preparation methods that make vermouth a staple of Spanish social life. The hands-on workshop allows guests to create their own blend while gaining insight into the history and traditions surrounding this iconic beverage.

As the sailboat glides across calm Mediterranean waters, visitors enjoy panoramic views of Barcelona’s shoreline in a peaceful setting. The leisurely pace of the journey creates an ideal environment for appreciating the city from the sea while embracing the relaxed rhythm of life that accompanies the aperitif tradition.

The experience is complemented by a selection of local tapas paired with different styles of vermouth, highlighting the region’s culinary heritage. What a great day! Smooth motoring for quite a while. Captain Jose shared info about the wind conditions and safety factors. Great people and great food onboard. We all shared cameras and photo-ops. Then, for about ten minutes, Jose cut the engine and unfurled the jib. We cruised along in silence and amazement in the late sunshine, giddy like school kids. Unforgettable. Thank you.

We had a fantastic experience! 🌊 Our captain, Cris, was wonderful – very friendly and professional. He even allowed us to learn not only how to steer the boat but also how its functions work, which made the trip even more special. The people on board were extremely kind and created a warm, friendly atmosphere. We would definitely love to experience this again – highly recommended! 🚤✨

We LOVED this experience, it was the perfect way to end our trip in Barcelona. The staff were amazing, we something else booked for the afternoon and they made sure we were back in Barcelona on time. The sailing is wonderful and so was the wine farm. Would highly recommend!
