Begin your journey on a tranquil Tuscan farm, where a short workshop introduces you to the donkeys that will accompany you. Learn about their nature, habits, and centuries-old bond with humans, discovering their calm, intelligent, and affectionate personalities. You will be guided on how to approach, lead, and communicate with them respectfully, gaining insight into what makes these animals so unique. Once essential companions for farmers and travelers, donkeys embody patience and loyalty, inviting you to slow down and reconnect with the rhythm of nature in its purest form.
After bonding with your four-legged partner, embark on a guided walk through the estate’s olive groves, wandering among rolling hills, stone walls, and silver-green branches that define the Florence countryside. The meditative stroll allows for a quiet connection between you, your donkey, and the land, while the guide shares stories about donkey life, sustainable farming, and local traditions. The experience concludes with a tasting of the estate’s organic extra virgin olive oil, served with freshly baked bread made from ancient grains and produced using traditional cold-pressing methods. This mindful journey offers a rare chance to embrace Tuscany’s rural life, creating lasting memories and a deeper appreciation for nature, animals, and the people who care for them.

Incredibly disappointing - specifically, a horrible experience with the exceptionally rude restaurant manager. I feel robbed of what could have been a lovely evening. We were grossly overcharged as a result of a mistake made by the waitress, and this was subsequently not admitted to and we received no refund (!). We ordered a steak for dinner for 2 people and the waitress told us to order 600g. We ordered 600g. We get the bill and see we were actually served 1.7kg. The mischarged difference was almost 60 euros. Ultimately it's not really about the money. It's the principle. This place treats its customers poorly. Would never stay again and strongly recommend you instead consider one of the many other lovely places to stay in Florence. Rooms are also very gloomy and soulless.

The Farm and Botanical Gardens are one of a kind. The overlook into Florence and Fiesole is a sight to behold. The food is always fresh. This is a true farm to table dining place. The rooms are actually quite large. The pool is great for the hot days and just to relax. This place is so kid friendly. I see why so many locals come to this place.

We went here for a day tour of the farm. It was big enough that you can easily spend a day exploring the animal farms, the olive orchards, the little lake and riding ponies. Highly recommended for families with small kids.

Our room was massive and beautiful with an unbelievable view. We stayed in Terraza. Staff was friendly, pool was incredible. Very relaxing stay, highly recommend. AC in room was better than most we’ve had in Italy. Mattresses were a bit uncomfortable. Great place to stay with children. It’s a bit of a trip if you intend to do a lot in the city. 20-30 minute taxi, about $30-$45 each way. But there’s two restaurants a short walk up the road that were good and the food on property is also great.

Beautiful place that we were so lucky to stay! We spent a night in the tower and enjoyed spending a day exploring the property, having a big lunch at the restaurant, and feeding the animals. The people are so kind and helpful and the views can't be beat.
