Raphael, was a best host and captain, he was polite, attentive, and informative about the history of Catalina. He brought me birthday cookies. He offered us some wine and cheese and even a blanket incase we got cold. I had a wonderful time on the sailboat. It was the best birthday gift ever.
Our group of 4 booked a 3 hour private tour the other day. Before even getting on the boat, the price for a private charter was way cheaper than any other boat companies I’ve seen. Rafael met us on time at the dock and was immediately very friendly and welcoming. There are two seats in the back where you could sit up high and have a great view, a couch on both sides with a table, and two pop chairs on the front. Not to mention seating on the inside plus a bathroom. Rafael had everything we needed on board like floaty tubes, ropes to hold on, extra hats to protect you from the sun, drinks and even made us some delicious sandwiches! Overall, it was an awesome experience and we can’t wait for the next time we come back to book another tour.
I cannot fully express our gratitude for Raphael and his Catalina Adventure Sailing company. He’s an incredibly kind and accommodating captain, a warm host, excellent island tour guide, and offers a reasonable rate. Raphael was so easy to work with and was quick to accommodate our request for a two-hour memorial charter on what would have been my parents’ 55th wedding anniversary (they were married in Avalon). He’s a no muss , no fuss kind of operator with a beautiful boat who ensures that your needs are met. Highly recommended!
My sunset sailing tour with owner Raphael was nothing short of magical. The boat was lovely, clean & the captain clearly had a passion for his work. Can’t wait to return with my family … kids will love seeing the sea lions 🦭 pelicans & other incredible animals living their best life of the coast of the iconic Catalina island. Absolutely recommend booking a tour asap!
Raphael and Tiff are wonderful hosts, they demonstrated a keen knowledge of the area and directed us to see seals, dolphins, and many seabirds. Genuinely the best activity I did on Catalina and a lovely experience especially for a moderately sized group (we had 5).
