I did a day tour of Alcobaça, Batalha, and Tomar with Quim with my friends/family, and I have to say it was one of the most informative and efficient tours I’ve ever been on. We spent 5 days in Nazare in the beginning of May. We had two separate days of tours with Joaquim. The first, a car tour of Nazare where Joaquim led us on a history and traditions of Nazare and the surrounding area as well as meeting some of the folks of which he seemingly knew all. Two days later we did a full day tour of the monasteries in Alcobaca, Batalha & Tomar. Absolutely stunning!!! - not to be missed. Joaquim's in depth knowledge and passion for the area, the people and the ways of life both past and present, made both days with him absolutely wonderful. The half-day trip to Fatima with Joaquim was a magnificent experience. He introduced us to the origins of the country, and also explained the soul and philosophy of the Portuguese people, everything was done in a deep and spiritual way.
