We visited in November- beautiful foliage. Feeding deer and watching the nature around was very satisfying. If you come with kids- make sure you hold them all the time. Wild animals can be dangerous- we saw some deer trying Tobit children with their front legs.

Nara Park is such a peaceful and magical place. The friendly deer wandering freely make it feel almost surreal. Walking among the temples and trees with them nearby was one of the sweetest memories of my trip.

Our tour guide, Angeles, is knowledgeable and excellent, managed time well. Our group of 4 really enjoyed the trip. One complaint: tour bus stops are a little far from the itinerary view spots, but we understood they were designated. Thank you, Angeles!

It's a big park with deer that roam around, ponds, and museums littered about. There's a temple inside with the Great Buddha. The crackers you feed the deer with cost 200 yen and there's quite a few stalls selling them. Do watch out that the deer sometimes fight and can get some what aggressive if they want more food from you.

Magical, Must-Visit Experience (Just Mind the Bucks!) Nara Park is an absolute gem, blending stunning natural beauty with ancient temples. Walking among the 1,200 free-roaming Sika deer is truly magical—they’ll even bow politely for a shika senbei (deer cracker)! Feeding and petting these gentle creatures is the highlight of any trip. A crucial tip: visit on a weekday to take advantage of significantly smaller crowds. This makes the whole experience more serene and enjoyable. Be aware, however, that the male deer (especially in autumn) can be aggressive; always observe warning signs and avoid teasing them with food. Most definately do not be a terrible tourist and let your children climb on deer, they are still wild animals. It's a magical place, let's do our part and keep it that way for many generations. There are plenty of delightful restaurants and street food vendors nearby for a refueling break. This is a five-star, unique Japanese adventure!

🦌 If you're looking for a park where hundreds of wild deer roam free and live harmoniously alongside people, this is the place you absolutely must visit! The experience is incredibly unique. You can purchase special deer crackers (shika senbei) to feed them along the paths. The deer are so integrated into the environment that they often cross the streets right alongside the pedestrians! The most charming part? Some of the clever deer have even learned to bow their heads (a low bow!) as a way to ask for a treat. It's truly heartwarming and hilarious. Be alert and watch your back! These deer are extremely food-motivated and can be a bit cheeky. Make sure you don't keep crackers visible in your pocket, or you might just get a nip on the butt/hip as they try to grab the food from you!

Paula and the team were great, Paula was extremely knowledgeable and speaks English, Spanish and Japanese. Me and my husband had a great time with her as our guide! The planning of the trip by the company seemed to be a little lacking, as we were left with seemingly a large amount of time to sit around in Kobe town towards the end. There were some things to do, but we only had around 25 minutes in Kobe's China Town prior, when we would have loved to have used more of that hour in Kobe town for China town instead. No fault of Paula and the tour team of course!

Our guide, Paula and our driver Ken-sun was amazing. Paula shared her knowledge generously, and between her and Ken-sun we arrived at each stop timeously. We could do a bit of site-seeing and taste the local cuisine, of the 3 areas. It is a worth-while experience.

I had an amazing tour of Kobe, Nara, and Osaka with Ikeda as my driver and Heli as my guide. Heli went out of her way to make the day special, and her super friendly attitude made everything enjoyable and easy. She took extra care to find delicious vegetarian options for me in each place, and I really appreciated her thoughtfulness. The whole tour was planned with incredible attention to detail and ran smoothly and on time. I learned so much from Heli’s fascinating stories, and Ikeda made sure the ride was safe and comfortable the entire way. I felt genuinely welcomed, well cared for, and would absolutely recommend this tour to anyone looking for a meaningful and memorable experience!
