This water sports rental offers options for two hours four hours or a full day giving you the flexibility to enjoy surfing paddle boarding or body boarding at your own pace. The equipment is conveniently located at the back of the upstairs courtyard allowing easy pick up and return. Guests should be aware that any return beyond the allotted time will incur an additional hourly charge and all items must be rinsed to remove sand before returning. Clear policies are in place to protect both the equipment and the user. Damage fees are capped per item and replacement costs are defined for lost or severely damaged equipment. Showers are available next to the main lifeguard tower for rinsing off after use with a small fee applied for any items returned dirty. Following these guidelines ensures a smooth and enjoyable rental experience on the water.

As a first timer, SUP California - Stand Up Paddleboard Rentals made the experience easy and memorable. I got a quick overview of how to use the board, at what height the paddle should be set and how to change it, ways to master standing up on the board rather than just sitting or kneeling, and suggestions for how to navigate the other traffic on the water. Happy to report that I was able to stand, didn’t just hug the shoreline (but ventured out into the middle with the sailboats, wind surfers, and pontoons), and had a very enjoyable 3+ hours. Was met with smiles and congratulations when the owners picked up the board and heard about my adventures. Went with the Isle foam board and think the stability it offered was helpful for this beginner. Would absolutely rent from this company again. Thanks for making it easy and fun!
Looked at multiple places for rentals and this place is by far the best!! Super sweet nice people! They have great communication for any questions you have or pickup/drop off times. Such reasonable prices for the time you get we had it from 12-5:30 and it was so much fun! They give you a quick rundown on how everything works if it’s your first time and then it’s yours for the day it was super super fun. I’m glad we rented it and will definitely come back to this place for our rentals when we’re in SD again!
This duo is AWESOME! So friendly and down to earth. We rented on 4/14 from 3-6. They were easy to communicate with, trustworthy, and even gave us a quick lesson on how to SUP. Wish we had time to do it again today. We had SO MUCH FUN!

Absolutely awesome last minute stand up paddle board experience. Picked up the boards at noon, went snorkeling and cave exploring in La Jolla Cove, saw a few leopard sharks, returned the boards at 6. On a busy Saturday in September. Glorious.
