We loved every minute of this beautiful and unique experience. Jimmy was our guide, and he kindly came back to take us even though he was on his way home. The lagoons are pristine and clear. We did the lazy river tour and it was amazing to float through the tranquil waters and to see all the wildlife. I highly recommend to anyone who is in the area.

They are still open one block down from closed Muyil ruins entrance. Overpriced but really unique, relaxing and supports local Mayans. Muyil ruins and boardwalk were still closed.

Our tour guide was Florenzio, and he was amazing. He knew all the birds, fish, snakes, plants, etc. He found an alligator (small and cute) for us to see. He took us to see bats! He was so kind and patient, taught us the Maya words for all kinds of things, the history of the canals, etc. The place itself is spectacular. I feel like I just kept saying, "this is SO beautiful" for two hours straight. It was peaceful, gorgeous, interesting. Please come visit, support these local tour guides and respect this very special place- no sunscreen, no bug spray, no litter. (We wore hats and swim shirts and didn't need bug spray at all.) It is 10/10, must-do.

We loved the tour. We paid 1000 pesos / person + 50 pesos for parking. The tour lasts approximately 1.5 hours with a boat tour on the lagoon, 40 minutes floating down the channel with life jackets and a quick walk back. Great experience in a unique and quiet reserve.

Relaxing and beautiful float through the mangroves! Getting there: If you're not in a tour bus it's a little hard to find. Turn left coming from tulum just after the Muyil Ruins entrance, IT LOOKS LIKE A DIRT DRIVEWAY! Very bumpy, but just go slow and you'll see parking on the right about 500ft down the rd. Approx $45 USD each. We didn't have to wait at all, got our own boat for just the two of us and so our own private float too. When we finished floating and returned to shore we walked along the boardwalk through the jungle and to the ruins, you'll pay on the way out this way, it's cheap, and some of the most interesting and accessible ruins. The entire area is very chill, low key tourism. Honestly I'd be surprised if there were more than 10 other people around. It's not better than chichen itza but it's more fun!
